Autumn Begins Tomorrow

The official start of the fall season starts tomorrow and while it lasts for three months, the “prime” time is shorter than most people think.  The large amounts of rain we had the second half of summer will contribute to what should make for some amazing colors when the foliage begins to turn.  The peak of the colors however, only last for a few weeks or for as little as ten days.  I am excited for the new season and I have some interesting projects planned.  I was photographing up near New Paltz, New York on Monday and you could already start to see some reds and oranges in the trees. I also discovered a new location near New Paltz that has some amazing potential.  I will be following the weather and the colors closely and hope everyone is also thinking about fall portrait work.  My daughter has me thinking about leaves, pumpkins, hayrides, Halloween costumes and all of the portrait opportunities that Autumn provides. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas.  Back to School portraits also qualify for 10% off shooting rates from now through Thanksgiving with mention of this article.  Thank You for visiting.
